About Us

Toledo School for the Arts [TSA] is a tuition-free public “​community” or charter school focused on providing a college preparatory academic curriculum and an intense visual and performing arts environment. TSA was founded in 1999 and is open to all Ohio students in grades 6-12 who seek an educational community of peers who are serious about their artistic endeavors. TSA has received numerous local and national recognition for both academic and artistic achievement. Health Teacher-Part Time

Job Title: Classroom Teacher Part time - Academics         Reports to: Principal


The Highly Qualified teacher is responsible for the creation and execution of specified course content that meets the common core standards as developed by the Ohio Department of Education.

Essential Functions:

  • Create lesson/unit plans that meet the subject standards as stated by ODE.
  • Maintain current knowledge of class content and changing standards for your subject matter.
  • Present lessons to students in effective manner.
  • Report student progress and maintains fair and accurate grade book.
  • Complies with the needs of students with special needs.
  • Assists with all state testing requirements.
  • Communicate with parents on student progress
  • Holds students accountable to the student handbook and the culture of the school
  • Reflect upon lesson to make changes and improvements in the form of remediation, modifications, and enrichment based on various learning styles of students.
  • Maintain effective classroom management.
  • Reports student attendance to the office each period.
  • Strives to develop rapport with students, staff, and parents and serves as a positive role model.
  • Participation in staff meetings and committee assignments
  • Maintains open and effective communications.  Promotes TSA’s mission, philosophy, and vision.  Serves as an information resource.  Keeps stakeholders informed about emerging issues.
  • Escalates issues to the Principal as needed.
  • Performs other specific job-related duties as directed.
