Kristen Dukat re-joins the TSA family after her student teaching placement with Stephen Johnston in fall 2005.  Her teaching experience at TSA left her with an extraordinary impression of the distinctive qualities of TSA, and she is honored and ecstatic to return as a teacher.

After graduating from UT with a Bachelors degree in Art Education, she spent a year substitute teaching at Perrysburg schools, and last year as the Unit Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Lorain County, serving students in an after school arts and educational program.  She teaches Introductory Art and Art Explorations in the junior division, as well as Intro to Computer Technology in the senior division.  Specializing in painting, fused glass, graphic design and photography, Kristen’s skills are well-developed in other various media as well, with boundless enthusiasm and determination to learn new techniques and skills.  Her personal motto to “never, ever give up” is evident in her constant pursuit of excellence and new creative ideas, and her compassion and understanding of each child as a unique person is evident always.   In her spare time, Kristen is the mother of 4 children, and enjoys freelance photography, oil and watercolor painting, glass fusing, reading, and biking.
