Jamie Naragon is a 2003 4.0 gpa Rhodes scholar semi-finalist graduate of Bowling Green State University where she earned numerous academic scholarships. She did her methods and student teaching at Woodward High School in Toledo before coming to TSA. She has remained an active World Studies/Multicultural studies teacher at TSA ever since.

While at TSA, Jamie has been very active, having served on the Employee Involvement Committee and the Curriculum Committee. She has also played instrumentally with various ensembles, stage managed numerous productions, and headed the Ambassador and National Honor Society programs. She also has received 2 arts-based grants to integrate video and sculpture arts in her classroom and ran TSA's side of the Community HeArtbeats Program.

Recently, she has been named Who's Who Among American High School Teachers, Who's Who Among American Professional Women, and was a finalist for both a teacer exchange to Uzbekistan and a finalist for a Fullbright Scholarship. Next year, Jamie plans to begin her master's program at BGSU.

In the Spring of 2006, Ms. Naragon's Multicultural Studies class participated in a residency with film maker Alvoro Leite. Click on the icon at left to view a video clip about the experience.
