TSA Visual Art -- Fine Art
TSA students enrolled for the beginning level classes get to do hands-on experimentation with several traditional media like drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and other crafts. As students advance through the Visual Arts courses they will also learn about art culture, art history, and art terminology. Students in the advanced courses are encouraged to enhance their skills by compiling high-quality work to add to their portfolio. The Visual Art department always displays student work at TSA events and performances, but has been recognized at external venues as well. In 2005 The Toledo Seagate Convention Center awarded a grant to the Visual Art department to produce paintings for display in the convention center's art gallery. TSA also had drawings and paintings selected for exhibition in the regional show for the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition in 2006. View Samples of Fine Art Projects by TSA Students
