General Information

DROP OFF

Class begins at 8:15 a.m. and students should be in the classroom by that time. Students should be dropped off at the loading dock entrance each morning. After 8:15 a.m., students should be dropped off at the 14th Street door. Please follow the yellow arrows to ease traffic congestion in the parking lot.

PICK UP
School ends at 3:15 p.m. All students will be dismissed from the loading dock doors. Students will be removed from the building at 3:45 p.m., unless they are involved in after-school activities.

PARENT VISITS
TSA prides itself on its continued academic success and appreciates involved parents. In order to provide students with the appropriate attention, parents are asked to make individual appointments with teachers to discuss questions or concerns. Impromptu visits disrupt the daily activity flow.

EARLY RELEASE
Students should be picked up and signed out from the first floor office on 14th Street.

VISITORS
Visitors must be checked into the first floor office on 14th Street before proceeding to the appropriate office or classroom. It is best to call ahead and make an appointment to ensure availability of your desired contact.

FRONT OFFICE
The 14th Street office is easily identified by the blue USPS mailbox in front.

QUESTIONS/CONCERNS
Please address any questions or concerns to your student’s teacher initially. Principal intervention is only encouraged as a last resort.

PRINCIPAL/GUIDANCE
Although TSA maintains an open door policy and will accommodate parent visits to the best of our ability, it is strongly encouraged that parents call to request an appointment to ensure the best use of available time in addressing concerns.

AUDITIONS
The TSA website (www.ts4arts.org) hosts a plethora of information for parents and friends of TSA. Everyone is encouraged to check the online calendar to learn about daily activities at TSA.

FIRST FRIDAY
First Fridays are student performances for community members, families and friends of TSA. These are hosted on the first Friday of each month and run throughout the school year. A reception begins at 9 a.m. with visual arts and academic displays followed by a special half-hour performance at 9:30, featuring works from the music, dance, theater and academic studios.

WELLNESS
TSA works to maintain a healthy environment for our students and staff. First aid kits and stations are available throughout the building and in both main offices, and we have faculty trained as first responders. We have a school nurse who is in the building everyday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

All medication, prescription or over-the-counter, must have a completed form with a physician’s signature before medication can be dispensed during school hours.
