TSA Visual Art -- Graphic Design

Many TSA students enroll for the Beginning Graphic Design class to earn computer credit towards graduation. Students learn how to work with various brands of design software; computer accessories such as portable drives, scanners, printers, and digital cameras; layout principles and design concepting, and ultimately how to replicate the visual media that they see each day in the world around them. Projects may include advertising, package and label design, basic web site design, and digital video editing. Students in the Intermediate and Advanced classes may design printed items for TSA events, such as posters and flyers while concentrating on compiling projects to include in their portfolio. Students with design skills are also critical for the creation of the TSA year book.
