TSA Bucks -- Description and Rules of Use

Earn TSA Bucks to apply towards any school sponsored function. This is a program where you can purchase gift certificates at TSA and use them as cash when shopping at local stores. TSA purchases the gift certificates at a discount (from .5% to 36%) and sells them to you at face value. The discount (or credit) is then applied to your account, the opportunities fund (to help students in need), or someone else's family account. This type of program is often referred to as SCRIPS. You decide where you want your credits to go. Restaurants, department stores, grocery stores, gas stations, and even a major airline participate in the program. You can lower your school expenses without spending any more than you are spending now. One of the greatest benefits of TSA Bucks is that it acts as a household budgeting tool, causing you to carefully plan expenditures in order to maximize your savings on school related expenses. A few examples of current retailers: The Andersons, Bob Evans, Don Pablos, JC Penney, Kroger, Dillard’s, Payless Shoes, Red Lobster, Speedway Gas.  Wendy’s. This list is ever changing and more stores are always being added.

Who can participate?

Families currently enrolled at TSA can take part in the TSA Bucks program. Also friends, neighbors, relatives, teachers, alumni, or anyone who wants to support TSA programming can participate.

How can I obtain the TSA Bucks registration and order forms?

Registration and order forms can picked up on the second floor of the TSA building or downloaded using the links above. Completed forms must be submitted to the TSA Buck Mailbox on the second floor at TSA.

Program Policies:

You must register prior to placing an order and will be asked to re-register each school year. If you are not registered your order will not process.

Only one check per order. If a friend or family member wants to help with your tuition reduction, combine their order with yours and make one check to cover the total order. Only checks from the registrant will be accepted. Make checks payable to TSA PO and remember this is not tax deductible!

The percentage earned on each participating family’s account will be held in the TSA Buck bank account until you ask for it to be applied to a school sponsored program. The request form is available on the second floor by the TSA Buck mailbox. You will receive a statement informing you of your credits earned at the end of each semester.  Any discrepancies must be brought to the attention of the TSA Buck coordinator within 30 days.

This program is to help TSA families with their school expenses; therefore the money credited to your account will only be used for TSA sponsored programs. In the event your child(ren) no longer attends TSA for any reason, the monies held under your account can be credited to any outstanding school account balance or transferred to another family account of your choice. Otherwise, it will be applied to the Opportunities Fund to help families in need. Written notification of where funds are to be credited must be received within 30 days after the child(ren) has left school.

Order Drop-off:

Orders must be in the TSA Buck mailbox, by Monday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Orders that come in after 4:00 p.m. will be held until the following ordering period.  Currently orders are collected on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month. Since all certificate orders must be accompanied by a check or money order, we will not take orders over the telephone or fax machine. The TSA Buck mailbox is located in the second floor lobby. Teachers and office staff are not responsible for orders reaching the TSA Buck mailbox; students dropping off orders must put them in the TSA Buck Mailbox. To keep traffic to a minimum in the office, we are asking that you utilize this mailbox so that our volunteers may organize and process the orders with fewer interruptions.

Order Pick-up:

You may pick up your certificates the following Thursday after 12 p.m. or anytime on Friday during school hours. All orders must be signed for when they are picked up. When you sign for your order, you are agreeing that everything is correct concerning your order. Once it has left our office, it is no longer our responsibility. Therefore lost or stolen certificates will not be replaced.

Please take extra care when adding your order, if your order and check do not balance, we will adjust the order to fit the amount of the check. Certificates cannot be returned or exchanged once they have been purchased.

If the entire school is closed on Monday, we will place the order on Tuesday and pick-up will be Friday. If only some students are out of school, the order will be placed as usual.
