We are no longer accepting applications for the 2013-14 school year.
Toledo School for the Arts is moving to Online Applications for the 2014-15 School Year.
Applications may be submitted from now through February 6th, 2014 via the Apply Now button (Coming Soon). TSA will begin application review on January 6th, 2014.
All applications reviewed and deemed complete by February 6th, 2014 will be included in the February 28th, 2014 Lottery.
If you have questions regarding our Enrollment process, please use the Inquire Now button (Coming Soon), or call our dedicated Enrollment Line at 419-246-8732 x250.
Want to find out more about TSA before applying? Check out any of our events! TSA hosts over 125 events a year, giving you many opportunities to see what the school can offer your student. The most important event for potential students is our New Student Open House. This day is dedicated entirely to those interested in enrolling at TSA, and begins at 10am on Saturday, January 11th.
The enrollment form will be available on December 6, 2013.
The 2014-15 Online Application will be posted in December of 2013. It will be posted on the website at www.ts4arts.org under the Enrollment Tab. We will begin reviewing applications for the 2014-15 school year on January 6th, 2014. Completed applications received during the open application period (between January 6th and February 6th) will be entered into a lottery. Please note that for an application to be considered complete you MUST have all required documentation on the checklist. Openings will be filled in the order of lottery numbers drawn.
In addition to your completed application form, you will need to provide a $20 non-refundable application fee, immunization records, a current year first semester grade report, unofficial transcript (high school only), proof of residency, birth certificate, social security card, standardized test scores, and if applicable: current IEP and ETR, custodial paperwork, or home school portfolio.
Interviews and auditions are still necessary for admission and will be scheduled individually based on lottery numbers drawn. These interviews are held solely to assist in the scheduling process and to determine appropriate skill levels. They do not determine entrance into TSA. 2014 dates include (but are not limited to) March 1, 15, and 22.
TSA will host an Open House on January 11 at 10:00 AM. The day includes school tours, an opportunity to meet teachers and students, check out our extracurricular organizations, meet the Parents’ Org, and learn about what TSA has to offer through a Director’s Session. Applications may be submitted at Open House but will not be reviewed at that time. (In the case of inclement weather, an Open House snow date is scheduled for January 25.)
The 2013-14 Waiting List will be cleared on December 31st, 2013, as it is cleared at the end of each year. All applicants on the Waiting List must reapply for admission in January to be considered for the next school year. The new 2014-15 waiting list is established from the list created during the Lottery drawing. Wait List numbers are determined by lottery number.
TSA has designated a limited number of shadow days. Upon completion of the Guest Student Request form (signed by student, parent and current Principal), the student will be assigned to a shadow day via phone or email in the order they are received and based on availability.
TSA now has an average of 100 students per grade level. Current students are given the opportunity to re-enroll for the following school year, thus we will not know the exact number of openings per grade level until the re-enrollment process is completed.
The lottery will be held February 28, 2014. A lottery number means that you had a complete application accepted before the lottery deadline of February 6. All of the lottery numbers will be drawn. The order in which the numbers are drawn, in conjunction with the projected number of available openings, will determine the order in which students are scheduled for interviews. Following these interviews/auditions, students will receive a letter which either offers acceptance or provides information regarding position on the wait list. Please note that a lottery ticket does not guarantee an interview and also that an interview does not guarantee acceptance.
The 2014-15 Enrollment Period at TSA will run from January 6th to February 6th. All applicants must provide the following to complete an application:
