We are no longer accepting applications for the 2012-2013 School year!

Moving into 2013-14 Enrollment Season, completed applications will be collected from January 3rd through February 6th 2013.

Please note that you must have all checklist documentation in order to apply. All completed packets submitted during that time will be entered into a lottery to fill the openings we have available for the school year. The application is now available for download below, with the checklist of all documentation required on the reverse. If you have any additional questions check out the FAQ section or call our dedicated Enrollment Line 419-246-8732 x250.

Want to find out more about TSA before applying? Check out any of our events! TSA hosts over 125 events a year, giving you many opportunities to see what the school can offer your student. One of the best ways to see what the TSA experience is like is to attend one of our First Friday events. First Fridays give you the opportunity to view our Art Gallery, experience various performances in our Attic Theater, take a student-led tour of the building, and ask any other questions you may have. Your next Friday to join us is March 1st.  View the full event calendar at www.ts4arts.org/calendar.

Enrollment FAQ

How are students accepted into TSA?

Applications are collected from January 3rd through February 6th of 2013. Completed applications received during this time will be entered into a lottery. Openings will be filled in the order of lottery numbers drawn.

Where can I find an application?

The TSA Application Form (which includes an Enrollment Checklist) can be downloaded here and is available in the Main Office during school hours (from 8:30am-3:30pm).

Does my child need to interview or audition to attend TSA?

Interviews and auditions are still necessary for admission and will be scheduled individually based on lottery numbers drawn.* 2013 dates include (but are not limited to) March 2nd, 13th & 16th. These interviews are held solely to assist in the scheduling process and to determine appropriate skill levels. They do not determine entrance into TSA.

*Due to a historical trend of a higher number of applicants for 6th grade, TSA may schedule those interviews prior to the lottery, but this interview date has no bearing on admission.

Is there an Open House?

TSA will host an Open House on Saturday, January 26th* at 10am.  The day includes school tours, a Director’s Informational Session and an opportunity for you and your student to meet teachers, administrators and student leaders of our school organizations.  Applications may be dropped off that day, but application review will not be conducted at Open House.

*In the case of inclement weather, an Open House snow date is scheduled for February 2nd.

Is there a waiting list?

The 2012-13 Waiting List will be cleared on December 31st, 2012, as it is cleared at the end of each year. All applicants on the waiting list must reapply for admission in January to be considered for the next school year. The new waiting list is established after all available grade levels are filled to capacity.  Waiting list numbers are determined by lottery number.

Can my child shadow at TSA?

TSA allows potential students to shadow if they desire. All shadowing days are designated by TSA, must be scheduled in advance and space is limited. If your student has an interest in shadowing, please call 419.246.8732 x250.

How many openings are there?

TSA now has an average of 83 students per grade level, and expects substantial growth at the high school level for 2013-14. Current students are given the opportunity to re-enroll for the following school year, thus we will not know the exact number of openings per grade level until the re-enrollment process is completed.

When is the Lottery?

The New Student Lottery will be held on March 1st, 2013. Students and parents/guardians are not required to attend. Lottery numbers will be published at www.ts4arts.org and posted on the door to TSA’s Main Office immediately following the drawing.
